And the search eventually leads them to a large basement where a government-sponsored lab is conducting experiments on the local black population. Realizing that he was an artificial clone controlled by Nixon, Fontaine was initially despondent. but decided that he needed to stand up against these white institutional overlords for the sake of his neighbors.
